Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber described itself as, in part, an organization made up of businesses and individuals dedicated to the improvement and promotion of the economic and community environment of our Town.
Yarmouth Community Services
The mission of Yarmouth Community Services is to provide and maintain responsive leisure and educational opportunities, facilities and services that enhance and improve the quality of life for Yarmouth residents and guests. Yarmouth Community Services encompasses three different divisions: Parks, Recreation, and Adult Education. The Parks Department maintains all public lands and athletic fields in town. Both the Recreation and Adult Education Departments offer comprehensive year-round fitness and enrichment programs.
Yarmouth Open Spaces
Yarmouth offers a variety of open spaces, ranging from active recreation to rustic and natural areas. The parks and preserves vary in size from less than an acre to over 220 acres. Royal River Conservation Trust
The Royal River Conservation Trust is a regional land trust, a member-supported organization, open to anyone, dedicated to creating an infrastructure of conserved and working landscapes for recreation, wildlife habitat, local agriculture, sustainable forestry, and clean water for the benefit of communities of the Royal River region.
Yarmouth Arts
Yarmouth Arts is a non-profit organization made up of local citizens committed to encouraging arts and cultural activities within the community of Yarmouth.
Yarmouth Clam Festival
The Festival begins each year on the third Friday in July and is free and open to the public. More than 80 different types of food and beverages are featured at the Festival's food booths, more than 40 musical acts and entertainers will perform on four stages, approximately 165 crafters, artists, and photographers display and sell their work, and sporting events and competitions range from a diaper derby to a world-class professional bike race.
The Festival is a fundraising event organized by the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce to support non-profit organizations that benefit the community. Funds raised through food sales and parking fees are returned to the Yarmouth community as student events and scholarships; athletic equipment, uniforms, coaches, trips, awards, and field improvements; Eagle Scout projects and leadership training; contribution to area food pantries and soup kitchens; elderly assistance services; performing arts, including direction, training, coaching, and instruments; maintenance of community parks, pathways, gardens, and meeting spaces.
